This week has been slow going. So slow going, in fact, that ever since Tuesday I've thought it's Friday. I don't feel exactly spectacular, and thanks to my mom (she challenged me to the bungie run game) I started out with neck pains. Plus my allergies are making themselves comfy.

Still, I think my little purple elephant has it off worse. She keeps yelling at soccer so that she's losing her voice a little, and her throat is very painful. My dad is of the opinion that this is somewhat of an act of suicide since our little elephant is in NYSSMA and the middle school drama. Poor thing...

I finally was forced to go to the guidance councilor to chose my classes for next year. Apparently we're old enough now that they're supposed to start asking us about what we're going to do now. I was actually taken aback by the way she asked, as if she expected me to only have vaguely thought about it, but then our councilors don't know us (unlike our principal who could probably tell you who I was, what I look like, and that I'm one of the top artists in my class, even though I rarely ever talk to her).

In case you guys haven't figured out, I'd like to pursue illustration and animation in college. Of course, there's always room for change of path, but love art way too much to do anything else with my life. At the same time, I'm a little nervous, because from what I've heard, it's pretty easy to screw up your life as an artist. But the fact remains that I want to live and breathe art and would never give it up unless you chopped off both of my hands or something...ouch. (I'm right handed, but I'm sure I would struggle to use my left if need be)

Anyway, I can't wait until the summer. I really want to do a lot of art and improve my skills. Both digital and traditional. I might even try some animation, but I shouldn't get ahead of myself. I still have to last through another quarter of school.
